The Lincoln Bar Association has committees that are responsible for various activities as described below. Committees are composed of a chair and general members, all volunteering their time and efforts. Membership is optional for any committee.

If you are interested in serving on any of these committees, you may indicate your interest on your membership application or email the LBA Board at lba@lincolnbarassociation.com.

FIELD DAY

This Committee coordinates the Association’s annual kick-off event that is usually held on Columbus Day each year. The day begins with a golf event for participants at all levels of ability. This is followed by a social hour, dinner, and an awards ceremony. Field Day is a great opportunity for bar members to get out of the office and mingle with each other.
Committee Chairs: Rick Tast and Megan Zobel

LAW DAY

This Committee coordinates the Lincoln Bar Association’s annual Law Day events. Law Day is scheduled nationally on May 1st, and the Association typically celebrates by sharing topical presentations with local high school students throughout Lincoln. Members work together to create a program for use by lawyers and judges at the schools, typically working with the national Law Day theme. The Governor, Chief Justice, and Attorney General have been regular participants in this community event.
Committee Chair: Alex Lierz

MEMORIAL SERVICE

This Committee coordinates the Association’s annual memorial service. This service is held in May of each year and honors members of the local bar who have passed away during the preceding year.
