ABOUT THE LINCOLN BAR ASSOCIATION

Founded in 1958, the Lincoln Bar Association (LBA) is a non-profit corporation organized for educational and charitable purposes for lawyers located in Lincoln and Lancaster County, Nebraska. The LBA’s mission is to maintain high standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the practice of the legal profession as well as cultivate a spirit of good relationship and fellowship among its members. 

The LBA has a stable and active membership of over 400 attorneys admitted to the practice of law and who are living in or practicing law in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Membership benefits include professional networking, access to CLE, and social service activities to help you give back to our community. 

The LBA is governed by Officers and a Board of Trustees. We also have several committees that perform different functions. Learn more about LBA Committees.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The Lincoln Bar Association’s fiscal year begins in July. The annual kick-off event is Field Day, scheduled each October on Indigenous Peoples’ Day/Columbus Day. From November through March, the LBA puts on monthly clinics as well as social events and the annual Meet the Judges Reception. Each May, the LBA hosts a Memorial Service for lawyers and judges from Lincoln and Lancaster County who passed away.
