This Clinic will provide an overview of the Modernization of Court Rule Revisions that took effect on January 1, 2022, which included a number of formatting requirements that apply to all motions, petitions, briefs, and pleadings, Certificates of Service rules, original documents that require original signatures, electronic signatures, and filing under seal.

SPEAKER INFORMATION
Wendy Wussow has been the Clerk of the Supreme Court since April 2, 2018. Prior to hat she was Agency Legal Counsel with the Nebraska State Patrol. She started her career as a private practice attorney in Kansas where she also served as a part-time municipal judge and later as assistant county attorney. Previously she worked as a full-time prosecutor in both Kearney, Nebraska and Mason City, Iowa.
As Clerk of the Court, Wussow directs the operations of the office which serves both the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals by providing timely docketing of cases, assignment of motions, and processing of other filings for Nebraska’s appellate courts. Clerk staff works to convey the rulings of each court while maintaining court calendars and producing the listings of upcoming cases. All efforts to combine to assist the appellate courts in the processing of appeals in the most expeditious manner possible.

All CLE clinics, including dinner, are included as part of your LBA membership.
The Lincoln Bar Association (LBA) will not be reporting your attendance to the Nebraska MCLE Commission / Nebraska Supreme Court Attorney Services Division unless you are current LBA member or pay your membership dues within fifteen (15) days after the Clinic.
