Members of the Lincoln Bar Association, as well as other Lincoln and Lancaster County judges and lawyers, will present Law Day 2017 on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at local high schools. This year’s Law Day Theme, as selected by the American Bar Association, is “The 14th Amendment: Transforming American Democracy.”

The Fourteenth Amendment, ratified July 28, 1868, among other things, guarantees the rights of due process and equality under the law. This year’s Law Day theme provides an opportunity to explore how the Fourteenth Amendment has transformed American law and society and furthered the cause of assuring liberty and justice for all.
